Direct Interface

This method relies on your own system handling all of the customer interactions while using DirectOne purely for credit card processing. This system gives you complete freedom in how you interact with your client. You may store card numbers for periodic payments or may wish to process the transaction once stock comes in.

Your site must securely collect credit card information which can then be submitted for processing by your DirectOne account via a secure socket connection and standard CGI paired values. DirectOne responds with CGI pairs for you to handle in your own system to complete the customer's interaction.

You must have the following

  • A secure site certificate
  • The ability to open an SSL socket
  • Fixed IP address(es) for verification of client integrity by DirectOne
  • The ability to handle your own reporting and order retrieval
For instructions on this system please see our documentation section.

Direct Interface Response Codes

When you pass a transaction to the Direct Interface, you receive two codes. The main code is one of a hundred codes used by all banks. The second code is a summary code which breaks down the 100 codes in to four more usable codes.
