DirectOne Customisable Fields

Hidden & Information Fields

Many of the DirectOne fields can be customised 'on the fly' from your order page.

Fields on your order page can be defined as hidden and/or information fields.

  • Defining a field as an Information field tells DirectOne that the item is not part of the order itself (ie it is not a product name or quantity) but is part of the information you are gathering about the customer. If a field that should be an information field is not defined as one, it will appear as a product purchase item on the payment and receipt pages.

  • Defining a field as a Hidden field tells DirectOne that the field is not to be reported to the payment or receipt pages. Usually this field is reserved for configuration items such as the vendor name and currency type accepted.

This example shows how you can specify which fields will have their labels printed on the payment page:

Click on the field names below (hold the ctrl key down to make multiple selections), and press the submit button at the bottom of the page:

(The field name here is information_fields and normally all of these would be selected.

(The field name here is hidden_fields and normally none of these would be selected.
